Inclusion. Community. Love. Connection. Unity. Joy. Light and hope in unexpected places.
That’s what Bandits has been about from the very beginning. We got our name from our first act before we even knew we were a band yet: playing in the New York City subways. Taking an environment that was cold and impersonal and tired and kinda dangerous and downright dirty and transforming it into a place of warmth, 3 little misfits appearing to make your day a little brighter, inviting you into their world just for a bit.
We vow to keep inviting you. All of you. We’re here with you. You bring yourself, as you are, all flaws and troubles and ideologies and fears and longings to us. We will do our best to bring you solace, laughter, weirdness, hope, and some tunes to tap your feet to. We will even bring the shaky banana. Let’s band together in this tumultuous, unsettling time and celebrate what is most dear: the people we love and the beautiful things we make together.
Though we are disheartened, we will hold our criminal heads high and charge ahead full force with our show tomorrow evening, November 10th, at American Beauty NYC (an appropriate name, to be sure) So let’s prove that there is plenty of Beauty left in this America. Come celebrate 3 beautifully diverse bands, with the beautifully diverse citizens of this wild town. We will be there to welcome you, our arms wide open, a bad dad joke ready to escape from our lips.
